Our experiment was to measure the effect of the concentration of salt on the voltage of our battery.

Our dependent variable was the voltage.
Our independent variable was the concentration of salt.

Procedure:
First, we collected the materials we needed and put together the battery using water without any salt.
Next, we added 1g of salt and mixed it in with the water and tested the voltage.
We repeated the previous step, adding a doubled amount of salt each time for 3 more tests.
After collecting the data from each test we finished up with the materials.

Expectation:
Our prediction was that the increased concentration of salt will lead to an increase in voltage.

Other notes:
We made sure that the metals were the same size to be certain that wasn't affecting our observations, but we did notice that depending on the height of the metal in the water the voltage changed a slight amount. This could do something with how close the two metals are together. Also, every time we added more salt it became harder and harder to dissolve it into the water, this wasn't unexpected.
